West Hartford, CT — September 24, 2024 – ACCEL Law Group, a West Hartford, Connecticut based law firm with a national insurance transactional and regulatory practice, today announced that Wojciech Zak has joined the firm as an Associate.

Wojciech (informally Wojtek, pronounced “Voy-tek”) comes to ACCEL from United Healthcare where he most recently served as a Corporate Attorney. In that role, he advised internal clients on a range of health insurance matters, including artificial intelligence, privacy, vendor contracts and compliance with international, federal and state laws. Wojciech initially joined United Healthcare as a Paralegal, with a primary focus on research, project coordination, and drafting legal correspondence. Prior to United Healthcare, he served as a Legislative Law Clerk with the Connecticut General Assembly. Wojciech also has experience at a wealth management investment firm where he was responsible for various legal filings and compliance reporting.
Wojciech earned his Juris Doctorate from the University of Connecticut School of Law and his Bachelor of Arts (Economics & Business Fundamentals) from the University of Connecticut. At UConn Law, while maintaining full-time employment, he obtained a Certificate in Insurance Law & Regulation and served as an Associate Editor of the Connecticut Insurance Law Journal.
