West Hartford, CT — October 4, 2022 – ACCEL Law Group, a national insurance transactional and regulatory law firm based in West Hartford, Connecticut, today announced that Yulia Chillington and Alexander Gates have joined the firm as Associate Attorneys.

Yulia Chillington joins ACCEL Law Group with an extensive background in the insurance industry, in both public and private sectors. Prior to joining ACCEL Law Group, she worked at Aetna/CVS Health as counsel with a focus on health insurance product portfolio growth and development, and regulatory analysis and advocacy. Yulia also held public sector positions with the Connecticut State Department of Social Services (Medicaid Division), and the Connecticut Health Insurance Exchange, Access Health CT. Yulia earned her J.D. from the University of Connecticut School of Law and is a summa cum laude graduate of Sacred Heart University.

Alexander Gates joins ACCEL Law Group after earning his J.D. (cum laude) and M.B.A. from Quinnipiac University. He previously served as a Law Clerk with ACCEL and was a legal extern for The Hartford in the Property and Casualty Commercial Law Group. In law school, Alexander was the Editor-in-Chief of the Quinnipiac Health Law Journal and received awards in Excellence in Clinical Education, Service to the Law School, and Distinguished Academic Achievement Award in Healthcare Antitrust.  He earned his undergraduate degree from Trinity College.

ACCEL Law Group also announced that 2022 summer associate Emily Collins will serve the firm as a part-time law clerk during the academic year and will become a full-time associate after her graduation from the University of Connecticut School of Law in 2023.  She is the Alumni Affairs Editor of the Connecticut Law Review, President of the Health Law Interest Group, and an active member of the Connecticut Moot Court Board, the Negotiation and Dispute Resolution Society, and the Latinx Law Students Association.
